We were called to a Willerby Winchester static caravan that had a damaged lounge floor. The caravan was sited on a caravan park in Tywyn, Mid Wales.
To start with we had to remove the entire rotten floor, and clean up the surrounding areas ready for a replacement floor using new plywood sheets.
To do the job correctly and making sure you have adequate access to all the area affected we removed the exterior panels. With the panels removed it gives us access to sliding the replacement floor boards in from outside to the inside. This method although more time consuming allows the sheet to go under partitions giving the strength that the caravan requires on the exterior walls.
With the floor being completely removed, we refitted and re-sealed the exterior panels. The floor is now structurally sound and ready for recovering.
